Epsom Salt Baths

Epsom salt baths are one of my go-to recommendations for anyone who has concerns about stress reduction, aches and pains or detoxification. The salts contain magnesium sulfate, which are absorbed through the skin
and regulates body functions, reduces inflammation, aids in the nerve and muscle function, relieves constipation, eliminates toxins from the body by improving circulation and lymphatic flow, relaxes muscle tension by releasing lactic acid, and increases serotonin, which promotes relaxation. All of these benefits help to ease stress.

Epsom salts are available at your local Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart or Costco.
What you do:
Put 1-4 cups of Epsom salts in a bath of warm water.
Stir the bath until salts dissolve.
Soak in bath for 20 minutes.
During the bath, focus on relaxation and deep breathing (calming music helps as well)
Enjoy!
Remember to hydrate during your bath by keeping a glass of water beside you and drinking it throughout the 20 minutes. You can also place a cool towel around your neck if you feel overheated. As with any hot bath, take caution as you get out of the tub so that you don't slip.
